A Great model portfolio is your key to getting noticed in the highly competitive world of modelling. Your model portfolio is many times the first contact a potential client or agency has with you. This means that your portfolio images are extremely important to your modelling career.
If you look at models pictures those models that don’t have a professional portfolio find it hard to get work. Its Simple fact that being more relaxed and having fun during a model photo session will produce better images. I take time to see that you enjoy every minute from the time you begin with makeup till the final model portfolio is created.
To have that all-important advantage in modelling, you need noticeable, dramatic images that grab the viewer’s attention. The modelling portfolio you present must showcase both the individuality of your look and its flexibility.
Whether you’re an established professional model, just looking to update your modelling portfolio, or even if you’re new to modelling. Rory has worked for some of the UK’s top model agencies photographing celebrities and contestants of Next Top Model and can produce images that will make you standout.
I am highly experienced at working with New Models, who have very limited experience with the industry, in posing and modelling technique. On the day of your photoshoot I will help with direction, styling and show you how to maximise your modelling potential.
This year I have revised my model portfolio packages and will be offering two comprehensive photoshoots, including a free consultation service before your photoshoot to discuss your model portfolio so you can get the best of your time in the photography studio.

With the use of studios in Liverpool and Manchester, and with a great team of makup artists and stylists, Rory has everything you need to craft your modelling portfolio. Your most important selling tool, and you need the trained eye of a professional photographer. With over ten years experience shooting celebrities, professional models and talented newcomers, I can find the angles, lighting, and poses that bring out what’s special about your look. My creative eye has been long recognised by Top Shop, Rare, John Lewis, The BBC, EMI, Vidal Sasson, Toni & Guy and many more.
My job is to make you appear natural and graceful by providing a comfortable setting that helps you communicate. Together we’ll talk about your objectives, looking at what works and doesn’t work as we go. Our photo session is a creative collaboration that will expand your sense of what the camera can do to capture your style.

How the Photoshoot Works
* When you arrive we’ll have a quick chat about the images you want to achieve.
* Next your hair and makeup artist will do your hair and makeup for your first look, matching skin tones and where appropriate using hints of the colours of the clothes you’ll be wearing.
* We’ll then shoot, taking 20-30 shots at a time, checking as we go. Once we think we’ve got the shots needed, we’ll review them on screen and together select the strongest images. On average, per hour, we take 80-100 images and select the best 5-6 for retouching.
* Once we have the shots for your first look, we then repeat the process for your second and subsequent looks.
When will I get my images?
* Once the images have been retouched, we’ll send you the web resolution images by email and the high resolution print versions on CD by post a few days after the shoot.
* If you would like A4 prints these are available for £3.99 per image.
What do I need to bring?
* Hair and Makeup: we recommend you come with little or no makeup, so your makeup artist can get to work straight away.
* Clothes: a simple plain black or white top and jeans, and whichever outfits you’d like shots of you in.

I booked Rory to start my portfolio off. Having not been infront of the camera much i was quite nervous and not very relaxed, Rory made me feel at ease and gradually helped me to relax. He organised a great studio location in Liverpool and a fab make up artist who changed my makeup and hair for each clothes change. I got on disc some brill pics at a very competitive price and since had back 12 edited/airbrushed images which have been done really well!! Rory is definitely worth recommending, Thank you x

My photo shoot with Rory was very well, very professional and most importantly very relaxed and enjoyable.
From the build up to the actual shoot itself he was very helpful. He answered all of my many questions I had for him and helped me a lot to break into the modelling industry. Pictures took a while longer than originally planned but it was to be expected as he is a very much in demand photographer. Danielle a rising actress recenlty commissioned me to shoot some modelling/acting shots to start a portfolio. I called in a favour at the Abode Hotel in Manchester, a wonderful location for photoshoots and we spent a few hours creating several looks.
